Espresso preparation is a skill that requires a depth of understanding and it is learnt through training and practice. It is not a one-off event so should be an ongoing programme encouraged at every level in your café. The best guarantee of a successful espresso operation and return sales is to serve exceptional espresso.
We believe dedicated training time with no distractions is the most effective way for our expert trainers, Ash and Hannah to teach the skills for espresso preparation. The ‘Perfect Cup’ class and the ‘Milk Workshop’ are offered on a weekly basis in our roastery training room. To allow everyone hands-on involvement there are no more than six people per class.
Perfect Cup Class - This is an introduction to the fundamentals of espresso preparation. The class content includes dosing, tamping, extraction volume and time, grind adjustment, milk steaming and machine cleaning procedures.
Milk Workshop - As a follow up to the Perfect Cup Class the Milk Workshop revisits and advances on milk steaming and pouring techniques.
Ongoing Support - As your coffee supplier we have a genuine interest in your success. After attending classes we will continue to support you with training. Whether starting up a new business, purchasing an existing one, or changing coffee supply to Allpress Espresso, we are happy to discuss specific training needs.
Allpress Barista Guide - This is an indispensable tool for baristas and espresso coffee lovers. The book shares our knowledge from ‘bean to beverage’ and is a complete guide to the preparation and presentation of exceptional tasting espresso.
